Abstract
Benign cementoblastoma is an odontogenic tumor of mesenchymal origin characterized by a mass of cementum-like tissue or cementum. It is also called a “true cementoma” by many workers, and is a rare lesion. This tumor most frequently involves a lower premolar or molar and is contiguous to the tooth root. The lesion described here occurred in a 26-year-old woman. It was located at the level of left lower second molar.
