Abstract
The transmutation of high level radioactive wastes has been investigated in the OMEGA project started from 1989. In the project, the transmutation is proceeded by using thermal and fast reactors, and proton and electron accelerators. The nuclear data needed for accelerator transmutation are scarce and no evaluated data exist. The present status of these nuclear data is briefly described.
