Abstract
札幌市の南東部に位置する森林総合研究所北海道支所実験林（42°59′N, 141°23′E）の落葉広葉樹林内（標高 180～210 m）において，2013～2014年の2年間，標準化された標識調査による鳥類の繁殖モニタリング（以下，繁殖鳥モニタリング調査）を行った．調査期間中，捕獲したクロジのうちオスには顕著な総排泄腔の突出，またオス1羽，メス3羽に顕著な抱卵斑が見られた．また全身に幼羽の残る幼鳥を8羽捕獲した．調査地でクロジの巣は見つかっていないものの，クロジのさえずりも記録されていることも考え合わせると，繁殖の可能性がきわめて高いことが示唆された．繁殖鳥モニタリング調査は調査地における長期間の繁殖鳥類個体群の動向を把握するのみならず，これまで繁殖の確実な証拠が得られていない鳥類についても繁殖の有無を検証するために有効な補完的手段となる．
