Abstract
The construction technology of underground pipelines in municipal engineering is a crucial component of urban infrastructure development. Its advancement and application directly affect the normal operation of cities and the quality of life of residents. This paper defines and categorizes underground pipeline construction technology, outlines its development history and basic principles, and discusses in detail the preparatory work before construction, including surveying and measurement, design and planning, and the preparation of equipment and materials. In the section on specific applications, the paper deeply analyzes the characteristics and applicable scenarios of construction methods such as the open-cut method, trenchless technology, directional drilling, and pipe jacking.
