Abstract

The analysis of the possibilities of linguistic humor in the formation of linguistic competence of foreign medical students at the initial stage of education is presented. The means of creating humor in such small forms of language creativity as linguistic humorous miniatures, ironic aphorisms, and various figures of speech are considered. Cross-language correspondences confirmed the thesis about the internationalism of humor in its core ideas.
