Abstract
In this study, we paid attention on light intensity inside the forest. The purpose of this study was to discuss the guideline of forest management for comfortable light environment. At first, in several man-made coniferous forests, we investigated the light intensity and the complete enumeration. And we thought of the relation between light intensity-fluctuation and forest-spatial structure. Then, we took psychological appraisal for subjects to define the relation of 1/f-fluctuation and psychological appraisal of forest amenities. As a result, we didnt find a clear relationship between psychological appraisal and 1/f-fluctuation of light intensity inside the forest. But it was suggested that light intensity-fluctuation was related to the unique features of forest-spatial structure. Therefore, we considered the direction in the forest management with light intensity-fluctuation.
