Abstract

Australia attaches great importance to the efficient management of scientific data resources, acknowledging data as a key driving force for innovative development. The nation actively coordinates and integrates digital infrastructure construction while making data openness one of the top priorities within the public sector. To effectively promote the development of scientific data in Australia, the country has implemented effective management and open sharing practices for scientific data, recognizing it as a valuable asset, which guarantees the discoverability, accessibility, and usability of data resources. Australia has formulated different policies at different stages and established different levels of support and regulatory agencies, providing strong guarantees for government policy formulation, strategic planning, and plan service implementation. Based on a wide range of literature and website information resources, this paper employs meticulous techniques in screening, extraction, analysis, and organization, with a focus on comprehensively sorting and analyzing the policy system construction, support and regulatory agencies, strategic planning support, infrastructure construction, and practical effectiveness of Australian scientific data initiatives. The paper will serve as a reference for China in formulating a scientific data policy management system, establishing a sound data resource sharing mechanism, and reinforcing the data security guarantee system.
