Abstract

A new off-line predicting control system is developed in order to finish the workpiece to the required size accuracy at the desired grinding cycle time. On the basis of the mathematical model of stock removal, the interval regression model of the wheel wear rate or the size generation acceleration and the fuzzy linear programming, the setting parameters of the two plunge speeds grinding cycle are decided. This paper describes the algorithms to obtain the optimum setting parameters, and shows the grinding results which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
