Abstract

Humic acid (HA) was immobilized onto poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) (PSD) gel by γ-ray irradiation. The adsorption of methyl-2-benzimidazolylcarbamate (MBC) on HA-immobilized PSD was investigated. The amount of MBC uptake were found to be 1.4—2.7 times as large as that of PSD without immobilization of HA in the wide pH range of 3 to 11. Even after the adsorption-desorption cycle was repeated ten times, its adsorption ability did not change.
