Abstract

Speed of reciprocating slider change moment by moment. Under lubrication, sliding speed effect have a great effect on coefficient of friction. In addition to this, for example, piston of internal combustion engine and plain bearing that it was supported a pivot cause posture change. This posture change cause change of load capacity and effect coefficient of friction. To design efficient reciprocating slide machine, guiding principle considering the various elements has been required .In this study, it is aimed for quantifying friction and designing efficient reciprocating mechanism. This time, to investigate effect of texture and posture change, we made experimental apparatus. Each effect appears to coefficient of friction at high and low sliding speed. From this result, friction and posture change at low speed determines friction at high speed. In the viewpoint of texture, it have a significant effect on the overall friction to hold the film thickness at the time of reversal.
