Abstract
In this paper, a multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) – polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanocomposite is fabricated as a multifunctional sensor to realize a wearable heath monitoring sensor system. The sensor is flexible and can measure both pressure and temperature at areas of contact to human body. This enables continuous monitoring of posture and respiration process for early diagnosis of manifold posture and lung related diseases. Mechanical, thermal responses and morphology are studied and the results are discussed. A stable, linear and reproducible sensor with improved sensitivity is realized.
