Abstract
This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the semiotic meaning of the lyrics of the song "Last Roar", what forms of social criticism are found in the song and finding out how music can be used as a medium for social criticism. The theories used in this research are music and songs, Roland Barthes' semiotics and social criticism and use qualitative research methods. The results of the research can be concluded that the form of social criticism in the song "Last Roar" by Tuan Tiga Belas can be concluded as a form of protest song. Mr. Thirteen expressed criticism of the government and the condition of Sumatran tigers and forests in Indonesia. Through this song, Tuan Tigabelas also calls on all Indonesian people to continue to protect and care about Indonesia's natural balance. .
