Abstract
EAS initiated by primary gamma -quanta, with constant size at mountain altitude, are simulated using three-dimensional procedures based on the SM1 phenomenological interaction model. The criterion Nmu /(Nmu )<or=0.11 to pick out EAS poor in muons in the Tien Shan array is confirmed. The authors show the prominent role of the reception conditions of the EAS arrays used. The relative content of EAS initiated by primary gamma -quanta selecting showers poor in muons is estimated in terms of the reception conditions of the experimental array.
