Abstract

The article analyzes the process of municipalization of housing stock in the Amur province in the 1920s. It was revealed that the withdrawal of housing from homeowners was carried out in accordance with existing legislation and the instructions of local authorities, followed by redistribution - providing housing to those in need and allocating former owners of living space according to the norm. It is concluded that the municipalization of the housing stock, solving the current tasks of providing housing for workers, has eliminated the housing crisis in the Amur province.
