Abstract

Computer simulations with a rigorous steady-state model were used in a multivariable control system analysis of industrial CO 2/MEA absorption/desorption units. Analysis predicts that the system is stable in a closed loop and that the variables should be paired such that the compositions of lean and rich solutions are controlled by manipulating the liquid circulation rate and the reboiler duty, respectively.
