Abstract

Voltage pulsations at the receiver is one of the biggest problems associated with the deployment of the Dynamic Wireless Charging (DWC) systems for Electric Vehicles (EVs). The given study proposes to use two receivers instead of one, in order to compensate for the mutual inductance fluctuations at the receiver. Two DWC systems were modelled in ANSYS Maxwell to validate the proposed hypothesis. Precisely, the system with one transmitter and two receivers as well as the system with two transmitters and two receivers were considered. It was revealed that if the receivers are placed close enough to one another, it is possible to achieve a state when the mutual inductance peak of one receiver will coincide with the lowest mutual inductance of the other. The future work on the topic implies the practical implementation of the system under consideration and obtaining the voltage signal from the receiving side.
