Abstract

Multiplicity distributions of shower particles produced in high-energy heavy-ion collisions of28Si at 14.5A GeV,32S at 200A GeV,16O at 200A GeV and16O at 60A GeV have been studied in small pseudorapidity intervals of the forward and backward hemispheres in the perspective of negative binomial distributions. Different multiplicity parameters have also been computed for the two hemispheres separately, and their variations with phase-space interval size have been studied.
