Abstract

The multiple scattering of keV-neutrons in 6Li-loaded glass scintillators has been studied by a Monte Carlo technique. The computer program can be used to calculate corrections to the neutron detection efficiency for scintillators of specified composition. This makes possible their use as standards for absolute flux measurement of monoenergetic neutrons in the keV range. Results are presented referring to the glass Nash and Thompson GS 20.
