Abstract

The recent advance in logic gate computing and operation based on the multiple luminescence response and chemical sensing for lanthanide functionalized MOF hybrid system is summarized. Firstly, multi-color luminescence and subsequently the multiple luminescence response based on them are described. Secondly, the basic conception for logic gate operation and the virtues of lanthanide-based hybrid materials are simply introduced. Thirdly, some reports on logic gate operation using pure lanthanide MOFs are given, which is not the emphasis of this review. Afterwards, the detailed summary on logic gate operations of lanthanide functionalized MOFs hybrid materials is discussed. Moreover, the input and output of logic gate based on lanthanide functionalized MOFs hybrid materials can be further applied to correlate the luminescence responsive signals and the concentration of different analytes, which achieves the practical luminescent detection of analytes. Finally, the conclusion and prospect are given for this topic.
