Abstract

Recent theoretical work has shown that there is an intrinsic difference in the nature of the information one can obtain from one-photon, two-photon, and multi-photon interference experiments. Using parametric down conversion, many laboratories have recently performed two-photon interference experiments. We shall discuss these and some proposals for three-photon interferometers and shall point out the kind of non-classical information one could hope to attain from such devices.
