Abstract
A study has been performed of optical multiphonon transitions in undoped size-limited systems in a magnetic field aligned with the spatial quantization axis. A theory is proposed which allows one to describe the half-width of the luminescence curve for isolated quantum wells and investigate the frequency and temperature dependence of the light absorption coefficient in the long-wavelength region.
