Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students at UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. From this, lecturers as educators are looking for solutions by using multimedia in the form of Smart TV. This study uses a method of research qualitatively. Source data obtained from the results of questionnaires, observations and interviews. The results of this study showed that after using multimedia smart TV student learning motivation increased. Multimedia management is carried out in several stages, namely: 1) planning. 2) Execution. 3) evaluation. The availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure in the use of Smart TV-based multimedia is a supporting factor in the use of multimedia in addition to the lecturer's proficiency in using smart TV is also one of the supporting factors. This happens thanks to the training that the lecturer has received. However, there are also factors inhibiting the use of multimedia such as unstable networks, and electricity that sometimes dies. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya motivasi belajar mahasiswa di UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. Dari hal tersebut dosen selaku pendidik mencari solusi dengan menggunakan multimedia yang berupa Smart TV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data didapatkan dari hasil quisioner, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah menggunakan multimedia smart TV motivasi belajar mahasiswa meningkat. Manajemen multimedia dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu: 1)perencanaan. 2) pelaksanaan. 3) evaluasi. Ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana pendukung dalam penggunaan multimedia berbasis Smart TV merupakan faktor pendukung penggunaan multimedia ini selain itu kemahiran dosen dalam menggunakan smart TV juga salah satu faktor pendukung. Hal ini terjadi berkat pelatihan yang telah diterima oleh dosen. Namun, juga terdapat faktor penghambat dari penggunaan multimedia ini diantaranya jaringan yang tidak stabil, dan aliran listrik yang kadang mati.
