Abstract
This paper describes an accurate design technique for multilayer bandpass filters for wireless communication system applications. Using coupled strip-line and J-inverter theories, the filters were analyzed and designed in a multilayer structure. The designed structures were simulated using MDS and IE3D simulators. Fabricated filters were measured by an HP8757D network analyzer. Sample results of the filter performances demonstrate excellent potential of the multilayer structure. It indicates that the filter can have a response that is in good agreement with the simulation result without a cofiring process. ©2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
