Abstract

From the Slavnov-Taylor identity we show in the Feynman--'t Hooft gauge that the amplitude of a multigluon process can be simplified to satisfy the simple Ward-Takahashi identity with respect to all external gluon momenta involved, with the possible exception of at most one gluon. Then the simple form of the polarization projection of the Abelian case can be used for these gluons without the compensating ghost terms and thus simplify the cross-section calculation of multigluon processes. The method applies to processes which involve massive quarks as well as to processes which contain non-QCD interactions.
