Abstract

The control system of torpedo is a non-linear and strongly coupledsystem. This paper first presents atorpedo model without disturbance, and then the principle of automatic control system of torpedo, as well as the MTN (multi-dimensional Taylor network) optimal control not requiring controlled object models. In the end, the simulation results of the pitch angle, yaw angle and depth control using PID, SMC (sliding mode control needing the precise torpedo mechanism model) and MTN respectively under the same simplex optimal method show that the MTN optimal controller has the best control effect of the above three kinds of controllers.
