Abstract

Fe-based Prussian blue (FePB) has been widely studied as cathode materials of potassium ion batteries due to its three-dimensional open framework structure and large ion migration channels. In this study, the effect of the introduction of various metals (Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Mn2+) on the rate and cycle properties of FePB was investigated. MnCoNiFePB cathode material shows better electrochemical performance, with the initial discharge capacity of 91.3 and 75.4 mAh/g (capacity retention is 56.7 % after 100 cycles) at 0.2C and 1C, respectively. These results inspire new ideas for the development and application of potassium ion battery electrode materials.
