Abstract
ABSTRACT Mucocele of the appendix is rare and does not have a specific clinical presentation, and hence, preoperative diagnosis is difficult, but it is important to plan the right surgery to avoid morbidity and mortality secondary to pseudomyxoma peritonei. We present the case of mucocele of the appendix which was suspected on preoperative imaging.
