Abstract
Ultrasound scanning with rectal probe (TRUS of the prostate) has become a “golden standard” in ultrasound diagnostics of chronic prostatitis (CP). Echographic indications of chronic prostatitis traditionally include the following: outline intermittence and crenation, diffusive echogenecity increase, structure heterogeneity, cystic inclusion, prostate calcification, varicose veins of paraprostatic venous plexus, seminal vesicle growth.
