Abstract

Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a chronic clinical syndrome of obscure etiology and consequently, the study was performed on 44 female patients between the ages of 21-74 years (mean age 43.8 years), suffering from IC for over 2 years. The diagnosis of IC was proved on the basis of histomorphology investigation in patients. All patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 consisted of 20 patients, who underwent hydrodistention alone.
