Mouse mammary tumor virus and its relationship with breast cancer

Abstract

Mouse mammary tumor virus(MMTV)is one kind of retrovirus,which can induce breast cancer in many inbred line mice.Many studies have found that there were MMTV-like sequences in human breast cancer,so the hypothesis that MMTV also can induce human breast cancer was proposed.If MMTV can induce human breast cancer,the MMTV antibody would be used to treat this cancer.The mechanism of inducing mouse breast cancer of MMTV、whether MMTV can induce human breast cancer,and how it enter the human body,are all study hotspots.
