Abstract

If motivating students is one of the greatest challenges in college or high school in France, this topic is also in interest to university and the academic research. The purpose of this paper is to recommend specific strategies to help students to be motivated and to be encouraged. To do it, this study focuses to discuss first the french education reform carried out by Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer. This reform of education anticipates new academic methods and a personalised support for students with learning or guidance difficulties. Then, following some research about students' motivation, we show how university department called PaReo, in University of Paris, makes a difference with a special educative program in order to increase students' motivation.
