Abstract
Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the effect of health education supported with motivational interviewing on medication adherence of COVID-19 patients receiving home care. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out in Gelibolu in Turkey between the dates of June 2021 - January 2022. Participants who meet the inclusion criteria of the study were assigned to the intervention group (50) and control group (50) using the block randomization method. Data at the beginning of the study were collected with the "Sociodemographic Questionnaire Form" and "Medication Adherence Reporting Scale" which were developed by the researchers according to the literature. At the end of the study the participants completed the "Medication Adherence Reporting Scale" and the questionnaire for "Medication Treatment Satisfaction Level". Data obtained were evaluated with the statistical analysis of percentage, frequency, mean, Mann Whitney U, Wilcoxon test using SPSS 22.00 program.
