Abstract
I was in Moscow this past December, only a few weeks after the completion and inauguration of the building for the State Musical Theatre for Children and Youth. It was a memorable experience to visit this landmark theatre under the guidance of its Administrative Director, Victor Provorov. This strikingly lavish playhouse for opera and ballet for young audiences is the incarnation of a dream of Natalya Sats, the world-renowned pioneer founder of theatres for children and adolescents.
