Abstract

Abstract The creation of customized models in CAPE depends on many skills. Two important aspects therein are the formulation of a good natured mathematical model and the implementation in a modeling language. Often both of these processes are not clearly separable since the mathematical models are subsequently refined within the language or tool used for calculation. This has at least two drawbacks. One issue is the possible loss of information in the documentation; the other is clearly that implemented models are not easily reusable in other programming languages or tools. The formulation of the models in a meta level, which is identical with the clear symbolic definition of the mathematical model, in combination with subsequent versatile code generation is discussed here as a solution for this situation.
