Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the morphometric diversity of the Gayo Horse as the germplasm of native Indonesian horses in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia No.1054/Kpts/SR.120/10/2014 in order to obtain standardized data on the size of the Gayo horse morphometrics which are also part of the conservation and preservation effort of the Gayo horse as a local horse genetic resources. The research was conducted in Central Aceh, Bener Meriah. and Gayo Lues Regency on 87 male Gayo Horses. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the results of the study, male Gayo horses had an average (cm) body length of 102.96 ± 29.69, body height of 113.62 ± 3.53, chest circumference of 136.92 ± 7.07, hip witdh of 37.14 ± 7.77 and scrotal circumference of 24.4±5.56.
