Abstract

The morphologies-controlled silicalite-1 with mesoporous structure was synthesized in fluoride media and the adsorption properties were also investigated. The results show that the morphology of samples can be tailored by synergy effect of fluoride ion, alkaline reagent and reaction condition. The brick and sword-like silicalite-1 is more effective to adsorb CO2 and CH4 compared with microsphere, which suggests that the morphology-controlled silicalite-1 with mesoporous structure has a potential application in decreasing harmful gas emission of cigarette smoking.
