Abstract

There's plenty of life left in Moore's law, as today's leading-edge semiconductor developments attests. However, there is a new direction in semiconductor innovation that takes advantage of old technology nodes. It's called "More than Moore." This approach leverages the CMOS backbone established processes and technologies to develop novel function in passive devices, high- and low- voltage transistors, MEMS and a host of other products. In this paper, Dave Bergeron of SVTC Technologies, describes the evolving infrastructure and expanding marketplace, and lays out options and strategies for "More than Moore" players in today's semiconductor industry.
