Abstract
In Henry Hope's article on the Bob Jones University art collection, in the Winter 1965 issue of this journal (pp. 154–162), a distinguished museum director was quoted as saying that “this is the kind of collection you would be willing to travel a long distance to see.” The present remarks, written at Mr. Hope's suggestion, are meant to amplify his own account and to provide a somewhat more detailed report of the paintings to be seen at the Bob Jones Museum.
