Abstract

The energy of the Au-rich AuCu alloys is written in the Ising Model. The first 4 interaction potentials are calculated from the diffuse scattering experiments in Au75Cu25 and Au70Cu30 . These potentials are compared to the results of other methods (Clapp-Moss formula, Inverse CVM method). It is shown that the calculated potentials can quantitatively account for the D.S.C. experiments, and that the energy of the fluctuations are an important part of the transition enthalpies deduced from the experiment.
