Abstract
Emission spectra and decay times in pyrene crystals under the excitation of various energies were measured. The structural emission associated with phase transition was observed at 102 K. It has been identified as a monomer emission in pyrene crystals by the measurements of excitation spectra and decay times. The similar monomer emission was observed in a pyrene evapolated film under the 340 nm excitation at liquid nitrogen temperature.
