Abstract

The stable monolayer and multilayer films of colloidal nanocrystals – quantum dots (QDs) were obtained and studied. It is possible to visualize and characterize morphology (structural integrity, etc.) of the QD monolayers by Brewster angle and fluorescence microscopy techniques. The obtained films can be promising elements of the nanohybrid structures (such as QDs with natural biomembrane fragments and components) in photovoltaic cells and “nanoscale” materials for bio- and nanotechnology.
