Abstract

In this research, stoichiometric protonation constants (logβ) of aniline and some of the mono- and disubstituted anilines were determined by potentiometric titration water solvent systems. The titrations were performed using modified glass-electrode at 250C, 0,1 M (NaClO4) ionic strength and under inert nitrogen atmosphere. The formation curves of the anilines j -(-log[H]) were obtained by the means of the titration data and then protonation constants were determined by Bjerrum\'s half integer method and also computer program called PKAS . Based on the values of the protonation constants obtained substituent effect were discussed.
