Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical biochemistry indexes for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) by combined traditional Chinese and western medicine. Methods 40 cases of admitted ICP patients from January in 2013 to December in 2014 were randomly divided into two groups, treated by combined traditional Chinese and western medicine group (20 cases) and in single prescription group (20 cases) traditional Chinese medicine was removed,a course of 10 days, laboratory monitoring these indexes. Results In the combined group, the total effective rate was 90.0%, significantly higher than that of 25.0% in the single group (P<0.01) . Serum total bile acid (TBA) , glycocholic acid (CG) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in the combined group after treatment were more obviously decreased than that of the single group before and after treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01) . Conclusions The combination of Chinese traditional and western medicine treatment could greatly improve the biochemical indexes of pregnant women with ICP. Key words: Pregnancy; Cholestasis; Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP); Integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine
