Abstract
Molluscs have evolved diverse varieties of reproductive strategies and attract biological interests of researchers. Bioinformatic analyses have been conducted to understand molluscan reproduction at a molecular level. This article focuses on reproduction related genes identified from several molluscan species such as vasa, egg-laying hormone, caudo-dorsal cell hormone and gonadotropin-releasing hormone, and summarizes how these are involved in reproduction of molluscs.
