Abstract
A study has been made of the kinetic parameters and MWD during the anionic polymerization of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-5,5,7,7-tetraphenylcyclotetrasiloxane. It is shown that the polymerization process is accompanied by intramolecular chain transfer reactions already in the initial stages of polymerization. At the same time the MWD remains similar to Poisson distribution over the entire range of conversion examined.
