Abstract
Frozen whole rat cerebral cortex was exposed to 10 MeV electrons from a linear accelerator. Based on the theory of target size analysis, the in situ molecular weight of α 1-adrenoceptors (labelled by [ 3H]prazosin) and β-adrenoceptors (labelled by [ 3H]dihydroalprenolol) was 57 800 daltons and 42 600 daltons, respectively.
