Abstract
The molecular weight distribution (MWD) of oligobutadienes prepared by anionic polymerization of butadiene with dilithium initiators has been studied by molecular sieve chromatography using columns filled with porous glasses. It is shown that the measured number average molecular weight values agree with the results of chromatographic analysis taking instrument broadening into account. Oligobutadienes synthesized on dilithium initiators have narrow MWD (Mw/Mn = 1·2–1·15).
