Abstract
Abstract We have found that vacuum-deposited poly(2,2′-bipyridine-5,5′-diyl) PBPy aligns along glass substrate surface using SHG technique. The SHG activity originates from the interface where the PBPy molecules coordinate to acidic Si-O-H group on the glass surface.
