Abstract

Time-dependent correlation functions of toluene and cyclohexane in liquid benzene solutions were obtained from IR. analysis. The reorientational correlation time of toluene is dependent on the benzene mole fraction in the solution, whereas the correlation time of cyclohexane is independent of concentration. The benzene effect on the reorientation of toluene is interpreted in terms of the formation of benzene-toluene aggregates.
