Abstract

The relaxation of dipole polarization in solutions of segmented polyesters is studied. Several local forms of molecular mobility, the parameters of which depend on the chemical structure of the mesogenic fragment are observed. Increase in size of this fragment leads to a change in the relaxation time of on of the relaxation processes. Furthermore, on introducing oxygen into the central part, one further process makes its appearance.
